Soft tissue Initial consultation and treatment
Soft Tissue Therapy is a highly effective technique that releases tension and restores balance to your musculoskeletal system. At your first appointment we’ll discuss your desired outcomes and I’ll then conduct a thorough assessment, including your range of movement, muscle and soft tissue tone − in order to plan your treatment.
Following that, the hands-on part of your treatment will begin. You may be asked to actively move during some techniques, with continued reassessment and feedback on your progress.

You will leave the appointment with a unique individualised management plan, which will explain the treatment and exercises you require.

Intra/Oral Massage (Temporomandibular Disorders)
After an initial assessment about your health and symptoms, we’ll run through a verbal intake, as well as assess your movement patterns and range of motion. Treatment could consist of reducing tension in the muscles of mastication (chewing) as well as addressing other muscles that may be involved, such as cervical (neck) muscles and even your shoulders.
We may decide to include intra oral massage techniques, meaning that the muscles being targeted for treatment are accessed inside the patient’s mouth. The therapist wears a medical exam glove and gently treats the targeted muscle with light pressure. This treatment is in no way painful or aggressive.

Assisted Stretching
One-on-one assisted stretching takes place at The Lansdown Clinic with a Stretch Therapist. The benefits are remarkable, relieving people from aches and pains increase your mobility and enhancing sports performance always leaving feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.
Assisted stretching is for exercise junkies, to office workers and everyone in between. You will be taken through a series of stretches that focus on specific needs in your body. Whether it is a pre or post – workout, or you just need some time to focus on yourself and recover. If you are feeling stiff it’s a great way to get moving again.
